Over the hill on PlayStation 5: 2027 release plans
PS5 is announced for 2027; no exact day or final regional price is confirmed here. If you only play on this device, wait for that edition’s official purchase conditions before paying.
Quick guide
Console announcement status · reviewed October 15, 2026.
- Use the PS5 announcement, not the October 2026 Steam launch date.
- PS4 is not a confirmed substitute.
- Check the actual regional purchase option, price and online requirements before paying.
Wait for the PS5 release window
PS5 is announced for 2027. If you want to play today, the available version identified here is Steam; buying it does not grant a PS5 licence. If PS5 is the only device you plan to use, wait for the console listing’s purchase option and final conditions.
For PS5, open the developer’s platform section or search over the hill in your regional PlayStation Store. Match the title and publisher before wishlisting. If the store page fails to load, return to the developer’s announcement rather than treating the error as a date change.
Before you commit to this edition
Confirm the device named by the product, your store region and whether the button is a wishlist or an actual purchase. Read online co-op conditions if you plan to play with friends. A crossplay plan alone does not supply a released platform-pair matrix or a Steam save-transfer procedure.
Sources & version notes
Still unconfirmed: exact PS5 day, regional price and final online-service requirements. PS4 is not in the announced platform list.
The linked official PlayStation product page returned a regional error during review; the site therefore links to the developer platform announcement instead of presenting a broken purchase button.
